A busy little town,
Next to the Sea,
Hosts a creative community,
Musicians, authors, poets and crafters galore,
Micro-breweries and cafes that host so much more,
Garden Street hosts a great shop called Over the Moon,
Diane is on holiday, but she will be back soon,
Tarot cards, candles and really special gifts,
Essential oils, bath salts and bracelets that can create a shift,
No filter coffeehouse is the place to be,
They serve coffee with CBD,
The Feel Good Emporium is full of witchy things,
You can even buy yourself a pair of angel wings,
Nip into the Hoppe Shop Bar for a quick ale,
They have a great variety of beers for sale,
Pot Bound has a home for your plants in despair,
Given so much TLC so they can repair,
Dawsons Emporium is the go to for all your crafty needs,
Bonney Fabrics is the place for your wool, needles and beads,
The Crafty Cottage hosts a selection of presents,
Going in the shop gives you a life better than any anti-depressant,
Along to the Mirrie Dancer with a hop and a skip,
A great place to meet friends and teas to sip,
Next we have Bella B Boutique,
Selling clothes that are quite unique,
Powels Pastries has a great selection of pies,
So many new ones for you to try,
The Office Pub is on St Annes Road West,
Its Sunday dinners are definitely the best,
St Annes Fish Restaurant,
The best chippy in town,
They even deliver meals, and won’t let you down,
Ancient and Modern has everything for your home and garden,
In Very Vintage you might find a chair covered in tartan,
The Ducks Nuts pub is a real treat,
Onion rings that can’t be beat,
Verdi Antiques, a warehouse full of mystery,
Items made with so much mastery,
That can tell us something about history,
Goodness Vintage with the beautiful Sarah,
Great bits of furniture and her prices couldn’t be fairer,
And we cannot forget the Great Urban Arts Studio,
For the birth of Urban Back West Poets, a place to grow,
A big thank you to the very beautiful Carol and Yan,
Urban Back West Poets are your biggest fan,
So as you walk around on Thursday reading the poetry,
You are sharing the lives of a great creative community.

Shine
Let your spirit breath, there’s no need to grieve,
at what has passed before, just open that door,
and step into the realm that expels all fear.
Grasp that nettle, and let your blood flow,
it will enliven your soul,
and then you will know
the universal song, It will reverberate like a gong.
and enliven your whole, to be true and to be free,
to express who you are, unique in the universe,
pulsate like a pulsar.
Be true to yourself, what ever that may be,
no more oblivion, but shining and free,
to express your truth, and live as you will,
boundaries destroyed, it may feel surreal,
but individual truth, should not be denied,
Walk your own path with integrity and pride.
Steve.

Well being
Inside the womb
The comfort of
A warm room
Time
Tick tocks
To mother's
Heart beat
You'll be given time
To find
Your feet
It's way too early
To meet anyone yet
We'll ease you into life
You won't remember
These moments
Yet
The subconscious
Does not forget
This is your space pod
This is your time chamber
Ear to the wall
To hear the first murmurs
Of human behaviour
But you are safe
Within this space
Which takes you
To each unknown place
Like those train rides
Where the scenery
Blurs away
Like those flights
Of landscapes
Window framed
You sit as a passenger
Undisturbed
Your pilot
Escorts you
To far away world's
Which you have not yet seen
Of them
You can only dream
You could imagine
And colour in or outside the lines
With limited comparisons
Of what is Life?
Or wait for them
To come alive
Your first sights
Will be like a blinding light
Some say the last sights
Are like a blinding light
But this story is
Writing it's Introduction
So many pages
Away from the End
There is adventure
In what waits for you
Innocent Discovery
One day to interact with all
As if it was all
